As part of Vietnam ADR Week 2026, Mr. Phung Anh Tuan – Managing Partner of VCI Legal, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Vietnam Association of Financial Investors (VAFI), and Mediator at the Vietnam Mediation Center (VMC) – participated as a speaker at the “Vietnam International Financial Centre (VIFC) 2026” Symposium, held during 25–29 May 2026.

Organized by the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) in collaboration with its partners, the event brought together leading experts from law firms, financial institutions, businesses, regulatory authorities, and dispute resolution organizations from Vietnam and abroad to discuss legal issues and dispute resolution mechanisms in the fields of finance, investment, and the digital economy.

On 29 May 2026, within the framework of Vietnam ADR Week 2026, VIAC hosted a series of specialized events focusing on dispute resolution in the finance, fintech, and digital economy sectors, including the “Vietnam International Financial Centre (VIFC) 2026” Symposium and the Launch Ceremony of the VIAC Panel of FinTech & Digital Economy Dispute Specialists. The events gathered experts from law firms, financial institutions, enterprises, regulatory bodies, and dispute resolution organizations to exchange views on legal developments, risk management mechanisms, and dispute resolution frameworks as Vietnam advances the development of an international financial centre and a digital economy.

At the symposium, Mr. Phung Anh Tuan served as a speaker and joined fellow experts in discussions on capital flows and dispute risks within the Vietnam International Financial Centre (VIFC) ecosystem; mechanisms for risk prevention and management in financial transactions; and the role of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods in resolving financial disputes. The panelists also put forward recommendations aimed at strengthening the legal framework, enhancing market transparency, and reinforcing investor confidence in Vietnam’s financial environment.

As part of the same initiative, Mr. Phung Anh Tuan also joined the VIAC Panel of FinTech & Digital Economy Dispute Specialists, a specialized body established to support research, consultation, and the development of dispute resolution mechanisms tailored to emerging sectors such as fintech, digital assets, financial technologies, and digital-platform-based business models.

The launch of the VIAC Panel of FinTech & Digital Economy Dispute Specialists is considered a significant milestone in strengthening the legal infrastructure and dispute resolution framework necessary to support the development of the Vietnam International Financial Centre, while also addressing the growing demands of the digital economy and innovative financial activities.

Vietnam ADR Week 2026 took place from 25 to 29 May 2026 under the theme “Arbitration & ADR: Embracing New Heights”, bringing together legal practitioners, arbitrators, mediators, investors, academics, and business representatives from Vietnam and around the world. The event served as a platform for multi-dimensional dialogue on the future of arbitration, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution in Vietnam.
